During this difficult period of concern about the Covid-19 Virus, CMS' eviction prevention services will continue to be available by phone, email and virtually as well as on-site daily at eviction court. Our specially trained, impartial mediators will assist both tenants and landlords involved in eviction related disputes to work out either a voluntary "pay and stay" or "tenant move out" agreement so that the landlord may continue receiving rental payments and the tenant may maintain their current residence or successfully relocate to alternative stable housing. Our mediators will also assist tenants in applying for emergency assistance so they may use these funds to get caught up on unpaid back rent and utilities at their current residence or for a deposit and rental payments at an alternative location.
For assistance with an eviction related problem, both tenants and landlords may contact CMS by email at info@communitymediation.com or call the office at 614-228-7191 ext. 13, and leave a number and the best time for them to be reached by phone. One of our mediators will be back in touch as soon as possible. If an eviction action has already been filed in court by a landlord, parties may also speak with a CMS mediator on the day of their hearing at the Franklin County courthouse on the 11th floor of 375 S. High Street, outside Courtroom B.
